A Festival of Street Art and Urban Art<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

ARTOPIA GARDEN<\/strong> returns to Hellemmes for its third edition, turning Square Jules Ferry into an oasis of contemporary and urban art from May 17 to 19, 2024. Hosted by the WEEKEND’ARTISTES<\/strong> collective, this unique event offers a lively platform where art and nature meet in a celebration that\u2019s open to everyone. <\/p>\n\n

Goals and Vision<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The festival aims to:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • Encourage cultural encounters<\/strong> between artists and Hellemmes residents, strengthening local relationships<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Enhance the Square Jules Ferry urban garden<\/strong>, turning it into a venue for festivities and artistic creativity<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Promote access to art<\/strong>, by offering free workshops and encouraging interactions with both established and emerging artists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    Commitment of the citizens of Lille<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

    ARTOPIA GARDEN invites the residents of Lille to get actively involved:<\/p>\n\n

      \n
    • Take part in workshops in screen printing, stencils, monotypes, linocuts, and gel presses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Discover new artistic techniques and meet artists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Enjoy live music and a festive atmosphere all weekend long.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      Full program<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n
        \n
      • Friday, May 17 (6-11 PM)<\/strong>: Opening with a preview, formal speeches, a DJ set, and interactions between the artists and the public. Catering is available on-site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Saturday, May 18 (12 PM-7 PM)<\/strong>: A full day of activities, with exhibitions and sales, graffiti frescoes, workshops open to everyone, and a festive atmosphere backed with a DJ set.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Sunday, May 19 (12 PM-6 PM)<\/strong>: Continuation of exhibitions and performances, with art workshops for residents, and the closing of the festival with a concert of JUST RED & friends<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
